Our Story:
Heit’s Wholesale is a third-generation bulk sewing supply business that has been servicing retail stores, designers, and manufacturers for 54 years. Beginning in 1971, fashion industry sales representative Allan Heit sold fabric and sewing supplies, traveling to stores all over the Eastern United States, before kickstarting his company under the name “Embellishments," in the 1980’s.
His son, Harry, joined him in the business in 2008, then branched off to start his own line of notions as the company “Heit’s Wholesale." Since opening his warehouse, Harry has integrated the inventories together and grown Heit’s product line extensively, always providing the highest quality items with the most organized and personalized service. He now proudly works alongside his wife and daughters as well as his dedicated office staff to service his existing and future customers!

Harry recounts fond memories of him and his mom seeing Broadway shows and visiting F.A.O. Schwartz while his dad worked on business deals in the garment district.

Meet Harry, owner and CEO of Heit’s Wholesale. He runs the business alongside his wife, Lori, a retired teacher who now plays a key role in daily operations. Together with their daughters, Abby, Amelia, and Naomi, they travel to trade shows and work as a family to keep Heit’s growing.

Director of Product Strategy and Vendor Partnerships
Since joining Heit’s Wholesale in 2011, Sandy has been instrumental in building our product line and strengthening vendor relationships. She knows the line inside and out and manages purchasing and sourcing with precision, keeping timelines on track and inventory well-stocked.

Debbie
Shipping & Fulfillment Operations Manager
Debbie was the first of “The Ladies” to join Heit’s Wholesale in 2009, back when the business ran out of the Heit’s living room. Today, she leads our order fulfillment, overseeing all packing and shipping with precision and care. Her attention to detail keeps orders moving smoothly from our shelves to your door, without delay.

Accounts and Billing Administrator
Mary Ann manages accounts and billing, processing payments and keeping everything accurate and up to date. She plays a key role in keeping our finances organized and supporting the flow of orders behind the scenes, with administrative skills that support the entire company’s operations.

Kris
Product Experience Coordinator
Kris brings a creative eye to how we present our products to customers. She works across mailers, ads, sample displays, and our catalog to create a consistent and engaging product experience. She also handles receiving, ensuring every product meets our quality control standards before it reaches the customer.

Abigail
Merchandising Director
Abigail is the oldest daughter of the Heit family. She plays a key role in shaping the company’s creative direction and driving its continued growth and expansion.

PaigeMulti-Channel Sales Lead
Paige, a lifelong friend of Abigail’s, joined the company in 2025 after watching it grow from the early days at the Heit home. She now oversees our alternative sales channels, including Etsy and eBay, and works on developing our trade show displays.

AmeliaProduct Photographer (Part-Time)
Amelia Heit, the middle Heit daughter, is a graphic design major at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She handles product photography for Heit’s Wholesale on a part-time basis when she is home.
NaomiInventory & Fullfillment Assistant (Part-Time)
Naomi, the youngest Heit daughter, is a student who works diligently at Heit’s whenever she can. She assists with order fulfillment and helps keep inventory organized and up to date.

Meet our two office dogs, always close by and never off duty at Heit’s Wholesale. This Yorkie mix duo shows up daily with no sense of personal space and zero regard for productivity, napping through meetings, demanding attention at the worst times, and sounding the alarm for the mailman. Their specialties include expert-level distractions, unmatched cuteness, and an impressive ability to sniff out lunch from anywhere in the building.

Our warehouse is stocked floor to ceiling with inventory, so the products you need are ready to ship. Designed for efficiency, it’s organized into office space, a main fulfillment area, and overflow storage, allowing us to manage thousands of SKUs and keep orders moving quickly and reliably.
